Posted February 24, 2019 07:53:33The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, a branch of the Smithsonian Institution that is dedicated to the exploration and study of American history, is opening a new branch in Washington D.C. that will bring together an array of museum collections and research projects.
Visitors can walk through a new entrance to the museum’s National Building Museum, where the Smithsonian’s collection of artifacts will be housed and housed in an expanded space.
The museum is expected to open in the fall.
“This will allow us to continue to bring the best of our collection into this new building,” said Smithsonian Director of Collections Dr. Jennifer Kopp, adding that the new building will be a “new, modern addition to the National Museum.”
“This new addition will be open to the public for the first time in more than 50 years,” Kopp said.
The Smithsonian is the oldest museum in the nation, and its collection spans more than 4,000 years of American cultural history.
The Smithsonian will open a new National Building Building Museum in Washington, D.CT.
This is the second time the museum has opened a new location, after opening a building in 2012.
The current building opened in 1975.
It is the third building in the Smithsonian to open, after a new building in 2017 opened and a building opened last year.
In 2020, the museum announced that it would be moving its collection to a new facility in Atlanta, Georgia.
It will continue to offer exhibitions in its current location, the National Art Museum.
The museum has been a hub for a wide range of projects since the museum was founded in 1909.
It is the world’s oldest museum, with its original collection dating back to 1854.
It also holds a collection of more than 5,500 artifacts from all over the world.
