Auburn University’s Clemson Library is opening for business this weekend with a massive public open house to kick off the new year.
The library will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Sunday.
Staff are hoping to fill the 1,600-square-foot space with books, CDs, video games, computers, electronics, computers for people with disabilities, toys, video, books and music.
The new library is part of a new, state-of-the-art $1.4 billion project to modernize the library, expand its computer systems, and open its doors to the public.
Staff have a goal of reaching out to about 1,400 people by Jan. 6, when the new library opens.
